What if you can’t do 100 pull-ups or even 1 pull-up? This is the question most beginning CrossFitters ask. The solution…scaling. Scaling might modify weight, number of reps, time/duration or intensity. We love scaling at CrossFit Saratoga because it makes every workout accessible to all of our students, from our professional MMA fighter to our beginners. Scaling, adjusting the WODs to something appropriate for everyone is a bit of an art, so we recommend and use CrossFit Brand X for WOD modifications. This way everyone can participate in the WOD, everyone is challenged and it’s great to see the progression from Buttercup to Big Dawg.
